I'm a commissioned Idaho notary public. We meet on video, I verify who you are, you sign on screen, and the notarized PDF comes back to you encrypted through SendSafely — usually before we hang up. Most sessions run 15 to 20 minutes.
Sixty seconds. It saves us both a refund.
Not sure you'll pass the identity questions? Text me at (208) 826-1210 before you pay and I'll tell you straight. Outside the U.S., WhatsApp is usually easier — (208) 258-0285 is my WhatsApp line, message only.
By the numbers
The embassy wants an appointment three weeks out and charges by the seal. We can do it tonight, your time. Bring your U.S. passport or driver's license.
Two siblings in two states, a business partner in a third. Everybody joins the same video session from wherever they are. Each on their own device.
Working nights, stuck with the kids, laid up after surgery, or just done driving around hoping a bank will say yes. You don't have to leave the house.
Escrow and title — call for a quote. An escrow package isn't a one-document signing. More pages, more signatures, more places it can go sideways, and a funding deadline riding on all of it. That's more work and more at stake, so I price those per file instead of off a page like this one. I do seller packages by remote online notarization and the scan-backs go out the same day.
Call or text me at (208) 826-1210 with the file and I'll quote it.
One price on the page, the same price at checkout. You pay the $85 when you pick your time. Anything extra is a short list, and you'll know the number before I send it.
Includes the first notarization and up to two signers. Paid when you book.
Same session, more stamps. Five documents in one sitting is still one appointment.
Third signer and beyond. Each one needs their own device and their own ID.
| Witnesses | I can arrange them, or bring your own. Either way, tell me when you book so everyone gets verified ahead of time. | $60 each if I arrange $25 each if you bring |
|---|---|---|
| Idaho apostille after signing | For a document headed to a foreign government. I handle the Secretary of State trip; shipping back will be quoted. | +$199 |
| Certified translation | Any language. Certified for the agency, court, or consulate receiving it. | $60 per page |
If you can't pass the identity questions, you don't pay. It happens — a thin credit file, or years lived abroad. I refund the $85 in full, or we find another way to get your document signed. You will never be charged for a session that didn't happen.
Choose a slot below and pay on the spot. You'll get a confirmation email with the link to the notary platform and what to have ready. If nothing on the calendar works for you, call or text me — I keep evenings and weekends open for time zones that don't line up with mine.
Calendar not loading? Call or text (208) 826-1210 and I'll book you by hand.
Pick a time above and pay the $85. Upload your document while you're there — filled out, saved as a PDF, not signed.
Five questions pulled from your credit file, then a photo of your ID and a selfie. About three minutes. Every remote notary in the country has to do this.
I walk you through every page and every signature. You sign on screen. I'm watching the whole time, which is the part that makes it a notarization.
I return every document through SendSafely, not as a plain email attachment. You get a secure link, usually before we hang up. Keep it digital, print it, or send it back to me for the apostille.
One honest caution. Idaho law lets me notarize remotely, and most banks, courts, county recorders, and foreign governments accept it. Not all of them do. Before you book, ask whoever is receiving your document whether they take a remote online notarization. It's a thirty-second question that saves a redo, and I'd rather you ask it than find out after.
“Jim was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! My loved one passed away in Idaho and I live in Utah. Jim was able to help me through the whole notary process in a very compassionate and kind way. I was able to use his online services so I didn't have to travel over 3 1/2 hours one way to have 1 document notarized. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone needing notary services.”
Sarah Olsen Google review — opens on Google“I have to say that Jim and this company provided the best and most professional notary service I have ever experienced, remote AND traditional… My wife and I were in dire need of a quick remote online notary agent and thank goodness I gave Jim a call. Our issue was quickly and professionally handled. I sincerely recommend Jim and this company. 5-star!!”
Michael Farrar Google review — opens on Google“GREAT service!! Jim is the best! Even with his busy schedule, he was able to get us in quickly and worked relentlessly to get our documents done over zoom even when there were technical glitches outside of his control. We are in a different state than where our documents needed to be signed by another party and Jim's online service was such a huge convenience!!! Thank you!”
Kaylin Thomas Google review — opens on Google“I live abroad and needed a remote notary on short notice. Jim got back to me quickly and made the process a cinch. Will definitely return to him!”
Stephen Lowman Google review — opens on Google“I was in quick need of a remote notary, as me and my wife were wintering down in Panama. Jim was super fast, polite and professional. We will be using him in the future. Excellent service.”
Curt Esteb Google review — opens on Google“Selling a car from overseas required remote notary services - James Allen went above and beyond to explain the legal requirements to the car dealership I was working with and then perform the notary service. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for notary services in Idaho.”

Yes. Idaho law authorizes remote online notarization, and I'm commissioned in Idaho to perform it. The session is recorded, the identity check is logged, and the certificate states plainly that the act was performed by remote online notarization. That record is stronger than what you get standing at a bank counter, not weaker.
Usually, but I can't promise it and neither can anyone else — that call belongs to whoever is receiving your document. Most banks, title companies, county recorders and foreign governments accept remote online notarizations. A few institutions and a few countries still insist on a wet signature. Ask them before you book. If they say no, text me and we'll set up a mobile appointment instead.
Yes, as long as you hold a U.S.-issued photo ID and have a U.S. credit history under your own Social Security number — that's what the identity questions are drawn from. Your physical location doesn't stop it. I've done sessions at odd hours to match time zones, and I'll do yours. If nothing on the calendar lines up, message me on WhatsApp at (208) 258-0285 — that's a WhatsApp line, not a phone line — and we'll find a time.
You can. A laptop or desktop is steadier — bigger screen, better camera angle, and far less likely to drop the connection halfway through a signature. If a phone is what you've got, use it, keep it plugged in, and find good Wi-Fi. Use Chrome if you have the choice; Safari and Firefox also work.
Through SendSafely, a secure transfer service — not as a plain email attachment. Your document is encrypted before it leaves my machine, and the key that opens it is carried in your link rather than stored on SendSafely's servers, so nobody there can read it either. You click the link, you download your PDF. That matters more than it sounds: the documents I handle carry Social Security numbers, account numbers and signatures, and ordinary email was never built to move that safely.
No. Everything runs in your browser. You'll get a link in your confirmation email, click it at your appointment time, and you're in.
You've got both options. I can arrange them for you at $60 each, or bring your own at $25 each — a friend, a neighbor, a coworker. Most documents want a witness who isn't named in them or standing to gain from them; if you're not sure yours qualifies, ask me when you book. Either way they join by video the same way you do, and either way they need their own device and their own ID, so tell me when you book and I'll get them verified ahead of time. Don't skip this and hope for the best — a document that needed two witnesses and got none has to be signed all over again.
You get the $85 back. No argument, no partial refund, no restocking fee. The questions come from your credit file, so a thin file or years spent abroad can sink them through no fault of yours. If that happens we'll talk about a mobile appointment or another route. You are never charged for a session that didn't happen.
As many as you've got. The $85 covers the first notarization and each additional one is $5. Five documents in one sitting costs $105, not five appointments. Upload them all when you book so I can look them over first.
Yes — add $199 and I'll take it through the Idaho Secretary of State. Shipping it back to you is quoted separately, because what that costs depends on where it's going and how fast you need it. If the document also needs translating, that's $60 a page. Tell me the country it's headed to and I'll tell you exactly which steps it needs.
Yes, and the scan-backs go out the same day. But I quote those per file rather than off this page — an escrow package is more work than a single notarization and there's a funding date riding on it, so it deserves a real number rather than a retail one. Call or text me at (208) 826-1210 with the file and I'll quote it.
